The Woolsey Story
MUSIC + GOOD
My Album "Woolsey" is inspired by my personal experiences during and in the aftermath of the Woolsey Fire.
Woolsey was a devastating California wildfire that ravaged Los Angeles and Ventura Counties in November 2018, caused the evacuation of 300,000 people, burned 100,000 acres, 1,650 structures, and stole several lives.
100% of album sales go to the charity "Direct Relief".
Direct Relief is on the front lines of COVID-19, FIRE and many tragedies.
They are esteemed by Charity Navigator's “The 10 Best Charities” list.
I found out that sometimes you can't just click your heels and go home.
Musically and lyrically this Album overcomes loss with determination, redemption and celebration.
Though my experience was singular, I hope this musical journey conveys universal themes
that many will relate to during our present reality and beyond.
"LifeSize delivers poignant "Woolsey" album"
"The new album is inspired by his own experience during the Woolsey Fire, the devestating wildfire that burned nearly 100,000 acres in Southern California and forced LifeSize and so many others to evacuate their homes in 2018.
The music is impressive on so many levels, resulting in a collection of vastly appealling roots-rock tunes that should appeal to fans of Mark Knopfler, Tom Petty and Bruce Springsteen. Plus, it supports a good cause, with 100% of the album sales being donated to Direct Relief, an organization supporting health workers during the COVID-19 pandemic."
Jim Harrington - San Jose Mercury News/Bay Area News Group
“Direct Relief is so deeply grateful for this extraordinary act of personal generosity by LifeSize Music to help keep health workers safe as they put themselves at risk to keep all of us safe. This support translates into immediate, practical help, and is such a wonderful example of everyone pulling together and doing whatever we can to protect those who are most vulnerable.”
